City Harvest Family Church is a non-denominational, contemporary Christian church. Our congregation is multi-ethnic with a diverse array of nations and cultures who are united as brothers and sisters in Christ, setting aside our individual cultures and creed to pursue the “upward call” of God as a Kingdom of His people.
We are passionate about raising up disciples whose lives are committed to the lordship of Jesus Christ, and everything we do is about Him. We are a local church with a global vision. Our focus is on being a dynamic church that reaches out into our local community in Albany, NY, with the love of Christ, and into the world to those lost and hurting in the United States and around the globe.

We understand that exploring a new church can feel intimidating, so we have provided this list of frequently asked questions to help as you seek the Lord for a home church that He is calling you into.
What is your worship like?
We are, first, worshippers- committed to the whole-hearted, zealous praise of the Lord according to the fullness of the Scriptures. We strive to create an atmosphere of holy praise to God. Our primary goal is to use our God-given gifts and talents to inspire people to encounter the presence of God. We lead people in worship and strongly believe in the power of a unified team.
How do people dress?
City Harvest Family Church does not have a “dress code”. We have a diverse congregation from all walks of like, from many different countries, and a range of socio-economic experiences. Everyone brings their best to the Lord, whether that means jeans or dresses.
What ministries does City Harvest have?
City Harvest Family Church is a family-oriented fellowship of believers and we strive to create a community where all ages of people feel they have a place. We currently have robust ministries and groups for men, women, youth and young adults, and kids on Sundays and throughout the week. We also have cultural congregations that meet during the week.
Are you part of a denomination?
City Harvest is not part of a denomination, but we are most closely affiliated with the Pentecostal or Charismatic perspective of the Scriptures, especially in regards to the work of the Holy Spirit. We call ourselves “full Gospel believers” which means that we believe the entirety of Scripture is still alive today (Hebrews 4:12), relevant today, and necessary today for all followers of Christ. We believe that in the Old Covenant, Christ was concealed, and in the New Covenant, Christ is revealed meaning that both are still applicable, filtered through the work of Jesus Christ, to all believers.
Does City Harvest require a membership?
No. City Harvest does not maintain membership logs on its congregation. If you would like to be part of a ministry, however, you will need to walk through several of our in-house classes such as “Foundations for Life”, and “CONNECT” where you will learn about the pathways to involvement in our ministries.
